Read Mark 4:21–25
My parents put me through four years of piano classes when I was young.
The truth surfaced quickly. I did not enjoy music.
They discarded their dreams of me being a musician.
So, to occupy me, they gave me a construction set.
[Fortunately, the handphone was not invented yet]
I started building models of houses, cars, planes, and anything I could imagine.
They nurtured me according to the innate talent God has placed in me.
Eventually, I grew up to be an engineer.
Discover what lies innate in us.
Jesus taught this principle in the Parable of the Lamp and the Bushel Basket.
A lamp gives off light.
Even though it is under a bushel basket, the light still shines.
We need to lift the lid off the basket to reveal the light.
The,n the light benefits all.
This applies to God’s Truth, which lies innate in us.
Those who ignore the Truth do not diminish the Truth.
Those who respond to the Truth will benefit not just them but the world as well.
Discover what lies innate in us.
The Italian astronomer, physicist and engineer Galileo Galilei said, “All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them.”
